Full-service editing

Our most popular service level takes your text and makes it the best it can be.

Comprehensive editing can begin from a project’s earliest conceptual development, or can proceed from the first draft stage.

As well as proofreading for and correcting spelling and grammatical errors, our consultants can rework your text to bring it up to the standard of the world’s leading writers.

We are able to provide a full range of advice on structure and content, and to help you take a project all the way from a rough outline to a finished publication. Our service can even include coordination of the design and print process.

Our full service also includes fact checking, citation formatting and verification, and change tracking in Microsoft Word. It can involve edits made inside Adobe InDesign files, and supervision of design and print. For academic projects, our full service can include coordinating a refereeing process. At this level of service, a formal written feedback report is available on request.

Writing

Need advertising copy, text for a sales brochure or website, a promotional article, product review, business letter, report, or book? Give Sabertext the brief and point us to the source material, and our writers will give you final, polished text. It’s that simple.

Editorial consulting

Do you or your organization have an idea for a publication that you’d like to produce in-house, but need a little help with? Sabertext can help you find and work with top-quality designers, develop an editorial policy and style guide, or show you how to get your work printed and distributed. And that’s just the beginning.

If you have selected us as writers or editors of your copy, Sabertext will not charge you an hourly rate for project management work: just a simple 20% commission on any services we contract, supervise, and handle the billing for on your behalf.

While Sabertext consultants usually work remotely, an on-site presence can be arranged for special projects. Clients may be liable for transportation and accommodation costs in addition to our usual hourly rate for on-site work. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Basic proofreading

Sabertext offers a basic proofreading service for those whose text is almost ready for submission. This service level includes full correction of spelling and grammatical errors, and unlimited consultation on the process by phone or email. No fact-checking, rewriting, or detailed feedback is included in this level of service.
